4-star athlete Mikal Harrison-Pilot visiting Texas this weekend

Temple (Texas) 2023 athlete Mikal Harrison-Pilot will be in Austin this weekend for an unofficial visit at Texas, he announced Thursday afternoon.

Harrison-Pilot is the No. 90 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 3 athlete and the No. 14 junior in the Lone Star State.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder already holds more than two dozens offers, including Texas, USC, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Michigan, Baylor, Oregon and others.

The Longhorns have already hosted him three times this past summer and fall. And he’s also been on multiple trips to Houston. He visited Oregon last weekend was expected to visit TCU this weekend, but changed his destination to Austin instead.

While Harrison-Pilot is a do-it-all threat for his high school, he is expected to play receiver at the college level. He reeled in 29 catches for 484 yards and six touchdowns as a junior, while racking up nearly 170 yards rushing and eight additional scores. He also completed 18 of 27 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns.
