Former Alabama WR Isaiah Bond to visit Texas
Former Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond will visit Texas this weekend, according to Pete Nakos.
Bond entered the transfer portal upon Nick Saban’s retirement at Alabama on Friday. His most noteworthy play this season was his game winning touchdown reception against rival Auburn.
Now, he could add to a dangerous Texas offense in 2024.
Bond amassed 48 catches for 668 yards and four touchdowns in 2023, with none bigger than the miraculous game-winning catch he made against Auburn in the Iron Bowl, saving Alabama’s season.
Time will tell where Isaiah Bond takes his talents for 2024. As a recruit, he had plenty of options before takings his talents to Alabama, including Georgia, Miami, Texas and LSU.
As a member of the Class of 2022, Bond was a four-star recruit out of Buford (Ga.) High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 6 overall prospect in the state, the No. 7 wide receiver in the class and the No. 60 overall prospect in the class.
