Pensacola (Fla.) Pensacola Catholic four-star wide receiver Koby Howard is visiting Texas on March 25. He announced the news Thursday over Twitter.

Howard is the No. 69 overall prospect and No. 11 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in Florida.

“I’m looking to go somewhere that I can be coached up for the next level,” Howard told Billy Embody of The Bengal Tiger on March 12. “An offense that is wide receiver friendly, wide open. Also, a chance at winning a natty and a legit chance at winning a Heisman Trophy and best wide receiver in the nation. A nice facility helps. I’m always dreaming about that type of stuff.”

Schools across the country are recruiting Howard

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound wideout holds 25 offers, but the Longhorns have not extended one yet. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Florida State has a close lead for his commitment at 21.0%.

(Ron) Dugans is my guy,” Howard told On3’s Sam Spiegelman about the Seminoles on March 18. “Since the eighth grade, he came to Pensacola and had his eyes on me. After my ninth-grade year, he was the first person to throw me an offer.”

“They recruit me pretty hard,” he added. “They’re close to home.”

Howard also expressed high interest in Florida to Spiegelman.

(Billy) Napier’s a cool guy,” Howard said. “I went to camp and got the offer. We’ve been chopping it up, trying to get me back there.”

Miami is another Florida program working to keep Howard in-state. The Hurricanes are his father’s favorite college team.

“I love how they showed that they cared about me after I broke my leg at their camp last summer,” Howard told On3’s Chad Simmons on March 10. “Coach (Mario) Cristobal came to the hospital, told me I was a good player and gave me an offer.”

Right now, there is national interest in Howard’s services. Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman directly offered him during a camp in South Bend.

LSU is another program pushing for the four-star. He was in Baton Rouge on March 10.

“I love everything about LSU,” Howard said to Embody. “The coaches, the facilities, the brand, it’s not to far from my home, plus it’s in the best conference, the SEC. LSU is a program that can develop and groom me for the next level. My dream is not only make it into the NFL, but I want to be a dominant player in the NFL like Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase.”
