Frisco (Texas) Liberty five-star wide receiver Evan Stewart made the trip down I-35 to attend Saturday’s matchup between No. 25 Texas and No. 12 Oklahoma State.

And before the game, Inside Texas snapped a photo of Stewart putting up the Hook ‘Em hand sign.

This is the second straight week Stewart will be watching the Longhorns play after being in attendance at the Red River Showdown in Dallas.

Evan Stewart is the best wideout recruit in the country

Evan Stewart is the No. 4 recruit in the 2022 On300 and the top wideout in the rankings.

His top five schools are AlabamaFlorida, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M, with the Gators believed to have the upper hand. Stewart’s good friend and fellow DFW native Flower Mound (Texas) High four-star quarterback Nick Evers is Florida commit.

But Texas is very much in the mix. On3’s Gerry Hamilton said Stewart is the top target on the Longhorns board.

“Evan Stewart is an elite, offensive touchdown-scoring machine,” Hamilton said. “He is the type of guy that helps take you from 10 to 12 wins because he puts touchdowns on the board. It would be a massive recruiting win. You’re talking about a kid with 2 million TikTok followers. A kid that’s gonna command high money in NIL. He’s a very popular kid with other recruits, along with being an elite talent at wide receiver. And if you watch Texas, while offensive line’s very important, receiver is almost as important. From a depth and frontline talent perspective, Texas has not had those game changing-level players on offense for a few years.”
