New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback and Texas commit Arch Manning played one of the best games of his high school career on Friday night. In a 52-22 win over Pearl River (La.), Manning completed 17 of his 28 passes for 356 yards and seven touchdowns, according to Roger Glynn.

Earlier in the game, he broke Newman’s passing yards and passing touchdowns record. The passing yards record (7,268) was previously held by his uncle, former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, while the passing touchdown record (93) was set by his other uncle, former NFL MVP and quarterback Peyton Manning.

A 6-foot-4, 215 pound signal-caller, Manning is the No. 1 overall prospect and No. 1 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is rated the same in the 2023 On300.

Only four other players are Five-Star Plus+ prospects alongside Manning. He is the highest-ranked prospect in the Longhorns’ 2023 recruiting class, which ranks No. 4 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Rankings and No. 1 in the Big 12.

Manning has an On3 NIL Valuation of $3.4M. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Arch Manning On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Arch Manning:

“Possesses a pure throwing motion with one of the quickest releases we’ve seen from a high school quarterback prospect. Those mechanics pair with a strong arm to make Manning one of the more natural and accurate passers in the 2023 cycle. Has the ability to carve up opposing defenses from inside the pocket or outside of structure when things break down. Shows innate field vision for his age with the ability to find open receivers while making second-reaction plays.

“An above average athlete for the position with polished footwork and the capability of picking up yards in scramble situations. Has filled out a big frame over his high school career, entering his junior year as the most physically developed top quarterback in the 2023 cycle. Also carries a substantial mental load for a junior quarterback with the responsibility of setting protections.”
