With less than two minutes left in the first half, Texas offensive lineman Cole Hutson went down with an apparent right knee injury.

The apparent right knee injury happened when his teammate, Andrej Karic, fell to the ground and rolled on his leg. At the time, Texas was trying to get a two-minute drill going.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian left the sidelines to check on Cole Hutson, who had to be carted off the field.

The next play, a miscommunication on the offensive line led to a sack of Quinn Ewers and ended the drive early.

Cole Hutson is one of two true freshmen starting on the Texas offensive line. He was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2022.

There is no official announcement about Hutson’s status at this time.
