Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers made headlines this offseason when he transferred from Ohio State to the Longhorns after initially reclassifying into 2021 in order to train with the Buckeyes. After seeing teammate Bijan Robinson land a Lamborghini deal and a new ride, it appears the young signal caller has struck a deal of his own with Aston Martin.

NIL deals are nothing new for Ewers, who quickly became a hot commodity in Columbus, Ohio when he committed to the Buckeyes last year. Then, he showed off a Ford truck from a local dealership as he assumed backup quarterback duties and worked to adjust to the college game. Now, it appears he has traded the ride in for something a little smaller and a lot faster.

Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy posted a photo of Quinn Ewers Aston Martin – complete with burnt orange leather interior and a paddle shifter – on his Instagram story.

Ewers is a former No. 1 overall prospect in his recruiting class and currently find himself in the middle of a quarterback competition with returning contender Hudson Card. According to On3’s Transfer Portal Rankings, Ewers ranked as the No. 4 available player and the No. 2 quarterback. He arrives as a redshirt freshman after appearing in just one game without recording any stats for the Buckeyes.

Quinn Ewers pens message to Texas fans

He took a detour at Ohio State, but there’s just something about that burnt orange — Quinn Ewers is home at Texas. The transfer quarterback penned a personal message to Longhorns fans in a piece titled Dear Longhorns in The Players Tribune.

“It’s always been my dream to be a Longhorn,” wrote Ewers. “Every Saturday for as long as I can remember, my family would be glued to the TV watching Texas play. Just the other day my mom was telling me about when I was two years old, and we watched Vince Young and the 2005 team win the Rose Bowl together. (Apparently, I had kid-size Longhorn gear and everything.) Stuff like that just reminds me how, at my core, it’s always been Texas.

“And now, 16 years and a transfer later, I’m getting a chance to create my own legacy with the Longhorns. Surreal right?”
