Texas Tech has extended an offer to Frisco (Texas) Lone Star four-star cornerback Jaylon Braxton.

Braxton is the No. 411 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The 2023 On300 ranking ranks him at No. 211 overall and as the No. 23 cornerback in the class.

Braxton had told On3’s Chad Simmons last month that he had been hoping to narrow his list by the end of March. But because of the recent uptick in his recruitment, Braxton has elected to hold off and spend more time considering all his options.

“Anyone can get me,” Jaylon Braxton told On3. “I was really thinking about doing top schools on my birthday, but that is now happening anymore. New offers are coming, new schools are showing interest, and I am going to take more time.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.2k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Red Raiders have the 10th class in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. Post (Texas) four-star EDGE Isaiah Crawford, Waxahachie (Texas) four-star cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt and Mansfield (Texas) four-star safety Brenden Jordan are the three four-star recruits in the 14-person class.
