UCF quarterback Jacurri Brown plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3’s Pete Nakos reported the news on Friday.

Brown just wrapped up his fourth season of college football, his second with UCF. The Valdosta, GA native’s career began at Miami before he transferred to Central Florida prior to the 2024 season. This year, Brown played in just three games.

Over his four-year career, Brown has played in 21 games (9-12 record). He has completed 57.4% of his passes for 906 yards and six touchdowns with nine interceptions. On the ground, he’s rushed for 823 yards and eight scores.

Brown played high school football at Lowndes (Georgia), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 308 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

UCF just concluded the first year of the second tenure of head coach Scott Frost. The Knights went 5-7 on the season, ending year with a 41-21 loss to BYU.

“I thought the fight today was good against a really good team,” Frost told reporters after the game, per Deseret News. “My hat’s off to them. They’re a class act, like coach (Kalani) Sitake, he’s one of the good guys in the business. He’s been here for a while and built it the way he wants it to look. Early on we gave them a run for their money and I was proud of how the players responded this week.”
