Provo (Utah) Timpview four-star defensive lineman Siale Esera is taking an official visit to UCLA this weekend. The BYU commit announced the news over social media.

Esera is the No. 399 overall prospect and No. 48 defensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Utah.

The 6-foot-2.5, 260-pound prospect has been committed to the Cougars since Sept. 10. He is currently the second-highest-ranked recruit in BYU’s 2023 recruiting class, which ranks No. 60 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Meanwhile, UCLA currently holds pledges from two defensive linemen. They are Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty three-star Grant Buckey and Henderson (N.V.) Liberty three-star A.J. Fuimaono.

The Bruins’ 2023 recruiting class is No. 41 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 5 in the Pac-12. UCLA’s highest-ranked prospect is San Diego (Calif.) Mater Dei Catholic four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClure, the No. 234 overall prospect in the 2023 On300.

American Fork (Utah) four-star EDGE Hunter Clegg is also taking an official visit to the Bruins this weekend. Clegg has been committed to Stanford since July 18.

Esera has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
