4-star WR Ja'Kobi Lane signs with USC

Mesa (Ariz.) Red Mountain four-star wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane has signed with USC.

Lane is the No. 334 overall prospect and No. 52 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Arizona.

On3 rates Lane higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 264 overall prospect and No. 35 wide receiver in the country.

He committed to the Trojans on August 26.

Body positioning and balance is second to none compared to other X-type receivers in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Natural pass catcher who has strong hands and plucks the ball with ease.
