The USC Trojans are having fun and having plenty of it early against the Rice Owls on Saturday night. Trojans’ safety Calen Bullock returned a pick six 92-yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Rice was in the red zone, but then a pass hit their receiver right in the hands, tipping it into the awaiting hands of Bullock, who took it the distance.

Check it out as he picks off the pass and takes it nearly the full length of the field for the score.

Bullock had been recently impressing in fall camp and caught the attention of Trojans’ defensive coordinator Alex Grinch. That touchdown put the Trojans up 28-7 with a little bit more than 8 minutes remaining in the second half. He’s clearly poised for a big year.

Last season, Bullock was named a freshman All-American after he made an instant impact at free safety, nickelback, and cornerback. He appeared in 12 games during the 2021 season, starting six times. The gifted defensive back snatched two interceptions, had three pass deflections, and racked up 39 tackles. According to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2021 cycle, Bullock was rated as the No. 8 athlete in America and a four-star prospect.

Earlier in the first half, highly touted freshman running back Raleek Brown turned on the jets and turned the corner for a 14-yard touchdown run. Then, once he scored, Brown decided to strike a Heisman pose.

Check it out.

According to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2022 cycle, Brown was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 69 overall prospect in America.

Early on in the third quarter, the Trojans currently own a commanding 45-14 lead with just over 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter. They just got their third pick six of the night and this one hasn’t been remotely close for much of the game.
