St. Louis (Mo.) IMG Academy athlete Samuel M’Pemba added to his long list of offers on Tuesday. The No. 11 overall player in the On3 Consensus rankings for the class of 2023 was re-offered by USC on Tuesday.

The Trojans’ previous coaching staff had offered M’Pemba but the new staff wanted to make sure M’Pemba knew he was very much wanted still.

New USC coach Lincoln Riley has started quickly in recruiting the class of 2023.

The former Oklahoma coach has flipped the No. 3 overall player in the On3 Consensus Los Alamitos quarterback Malachi Nelson as well as the No. 41 overall player in the class Los Alamitos wide receiver Makai Lemon.

M’Pemba has been high on Oklahoma up until Riley’s departure. The Sooners will remain one of the 12 schools on his list without Riley.

M’Pemba said in an interview last week that he wants to see what happens with Oklahoma now that Riley is in Los Angeles. The five-star athlete admitted to being surprised by the move of Riley to USC.

“That was crazy because Oklahoma is one of my top schools that I like a lot,” M’Pemba said. “I didn’t think he was going to go to USC. That was kind of a shock to me. That’s just recruiting. It’s a business at the end of the day. It was a great decision for him and his family. I feel he’s going to excel. He’s a great head coach. I’m going to talk to Oklahoma, I don’t have a problem with them… I’ll see how Oklahoma goes. With coach (Lincoln) Riley, they were definitely up there for sure.”
