After opting not to commit or sign in December, Killeen (Texas) Shoemaker cornerback Khamari Terrell is one of the country’s top remaining uncommitted prospects.

As such, the four-star corner has become an even hotter commodity in recent weeks, picking up offers from USC, Florida, Clemson and Oregon.

Terrell hasn’t taken official visits to any of those four schools, but each is pushing hard for his commitment. On Tuesday, USC head coach Lincoln Riley, defensive backs coach Donte Williams and defensive coordinator Alex Grinch were all in the Lone Star State to see him.

Terrell is the No. 313 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 34 cornerback and the No. 46 prospect in Texas.

On3’s own rankings are a good deal higher on him, pegging him the No. 222 prospect in the country and No. 24 cornerback.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder has led a relatively quiet recruitment. And he’s taken just two official visits: trips to Mississippi State and Baylor in December. However, he’s received a boatload of attention since then. And he hosted three Florida coaches for an in-home visit on Monday. The Gators are making a heavy push behind defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, who was recruiting Terrell previously at LSU.

Terrell is likely to play football and run track at whatever school he attends. He has reported times of of 10.72 in the 100M, 21.06 in the 200M and 46.26 in the 400M. According to his Twitter profile, his blazing time in the 400M is good for No. 1 in the country as well.
