As Lincoln Riley moved from Oklahoma to USC, it was no surprise that he took several key players with him. That included five-star quarterback Caleb Williams. More surprisingly, Pitt wide receiver and Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison also chose to transfer to USC.

Now, there are sky-high expectations for both Jordan Addison and Caleb Williams. To live up to those expectations, however, the two are going to need to get on the same page quickly. That means working together in practice and getting their chemistry where it needs to be.

Following practice during Fall camp, Jordan Addison spoke to the media about how his chemistry with Williams is improving.

“It’s been pretty good,” Jordan Addison said. “Like I said, we out here competing. He’s a real great competitor, he loves to win. You know, everybody hates losing. So just his mindset and everything has been really good about him teaching me what I got to do and throughout certain routes.”

“So, I think our connection, our communication is getting better.”

Lincoln Riley on Jordan Addison’s role

USC head coach Lincoln Riley spoke about Jordan Addison’s role in the offense and how Addison is fitting into it.

“I think your best players, you’re always going to tailor it to those guys and try to do thing to fit them,” Lincoln Riley said. “So, yeah, there’s no question that he absolutely impacts how we’ll play offense. There’s absolutely zero doubt about that. He’s doing very well, I’d say we’re still learning him. We’ve still only had, today was 10, so we’ve only had 10 practices with him. So we’re still figuring out him, his intricacies and how he fits. But he’s a very consistent worker and certainly is a playmaker. There’s been a lot of newcomers. Several offensively. It’ll make you really think about all the possibilities. It’s exciting because there are some guys who are pretty dynamic.”
