USC CB Braylon Conley plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal in January, he revealed on X. Conley will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next school.

Conley spent two years with the Trojans and appeared in eight games during the 2025 season. He finished the season with 13 total tackles, a pass breakup and one forced fumble. His most productive game of the season was on Nov. 7 when he recorded six tackles and a PBU against Northwestern.

Coming out of high school, Conley was the No. 663 overall prospect and No. 65 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was also the No. 105 player in Texas.

He was recruited as a safety coming out of high school, but the Trojans opted to change his position after he arrived on campus. Former USC defensive back coach Donte Williams played a role in his commitment, but has since moved on to Georgia.

In addition to Conley’s portal entry, wide receiver DJ Jordan and running back Bryan Jackson also entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday. They’re the first three players to announce their departure for the program since USC’s regular season concluded over the weekend.

The Trojans most recently defeated rival UCLA 29-10 on Nov. 29. The win improved USC to 9-3 on the season, seeing them finish tied for fourth place in the final Big Ten Conference standings. With three losses, the Trojans are most likely out of College Football Playoff contention, but still have a bowl game on the docket before the team hangs up their cleats for the offseason.

Once the NCAA transfer portal opens on Jan. 2, players can officially enter their names in the NCAA transfer portal and go on to initiate contact with their preferred schools. The portal will be open for 15 days and close on Jan. 16.

Notably, players who are on teams competing in the national championship game are allowed five extra days to make their portal decision. The College Football Playoff championship game will be played on Jan. 19, so the players on those teams will be allowed until Jan. 24 to enter the portal and choose their next school.
