Hillman is the No. 348 overall prospect and No. 12 athlete in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Virginia.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect is announcing his commitment on Dec. 7 and choosing between Kentucky, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Fighting Irish has a commanding lead for his commitment at 99.4%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Hillman has taken two official visits so far in his recrutiment. He used one with Notre Dame on Oct. 14 and another with the Wildcats on Nov. 11.

Regarding the Trojans, USC’s 2023 recruiting class is No. 13 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the Pac-12. The group is led by Los Alamitos (Calif.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson, the No. 3 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. Lincoln Riley also has a pledge from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Zachariah Branch.
Hillman has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
