One of the most promising players in Utah is staying home.

Utah has landed a commitment from offensive tackle Tyler Knaak of Salt Lake City Brighton.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pound three-star prospect visited Utah officially on Nov. 26. He was also scheduled to visit USC this upcoming weekend, but all indications are that visit is not happening after the commitment.

Tyler Knaak was also offered by Arizona State, Virginia and Oregon State.

Tyler Knaak is the 10th known commitment for the Utes.

The Utah class ranks as the 39th best in the country, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rank. It’s currently fifth in the Pac 12, too.

Tyler Knaak is the third in-state commitment also for Utah. He joins four-star linebacker and Brighton teammate Lander Barton and Park City, Utah, three-star athlete Carson Tabaracci on the list.

Barton is the highest ranked player in the class, but Utah also has a commitment from four-star quarterback Nate Johnson of Clovis, Calif.

Currently, the Utah class is made up of 20% blue-chip recruits.

Utah has commitments from players in seven different states.
