Athletic cornerback with smooth coverage skills. Measured at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds with a 31-inch arm prior to his senior season. One of the faster top cornerback prospects, running 10.78 seconds in the 100 meters as a junior. Also tested very well in the combine setting prior to his junior season. Technically clean in coverage. Stays in phase with receivers and shows the ability to locate and make plays on the ball. A smooth mover both in games and the camp setting. Also flashes his athleticism and playmaking ability as a running back. Rushed for 1,092 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior, to go with 365 yards and four touchdowns as a receiving threat out of the backfield. Not tested often in coverage, but could show more ball production.

Chris Peal showed why he’s considered one of the more explosive athletes at cornerback in the 2023 cycle. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder scored nearly every time he touched the ball in Charlotte Providence Day’s 42-7 win over Rock Hill (S.C.) Legion Collegiate Academy. Peal caught four short passes from top 100 2024 quarterback Jadyn Davis for 150 yards and three touchdowns. The 10.78 second speed was on full display, as Peal used a long stride to easily pull away on his touches. He also had a long touchdown run that was called back due to a penalty.

Chris Peal is one of the more technically polished corners in the 2023 cycle and pairs 6-foot-1 190-pound size with plus athleticism. He’s been a top track athlete for several years and posted a 10.78 second mark in the 100 meters along with a 21.93 200 meter time this spring. The combination of size, speed and technical ability stacks up well among the cornerback group. Peal stars as a running back and corner for a talented Charlotte Providence Day School program that figures to have a strong 2022 season.
