As a College Recruit

Jumbo athlete with a large catch radius who looks like one of the better tight end prospects over the last few recruiting cycles. Has plus stature and length at over 6-foot-6 and around 225 pounds with a 6-foot-10 wingspan. Plays and moves like a wide receiver at that size. A quick mover who showed continued improvement in top-end play speed as a junior and senior. Lines up on the outside and separates from defensive backs on vertical routes. Boasts a large catch radiuses with the ability to win in contested situations. Has also shown the ability to track the ball over his shoulder. Was the top pass-catcher at the Opening Finals prior to his junior season and created a considerable mismatch over the middle of the field. Turned in a very productive junior season with close to 1,000 receiving yards. Capped off his high school career with a big senior campaign, catching 84 passes for 1,614 yards and 14 touchdowns while leading his team to a state title appearance. Has an outstanding multi-sport profile as one of the nation’s top baseball prospects and also plays basketball. Will need to continue getting stronger to aid in blocking. While physically gifted and highly productive at the high school level, should see an uptick in overall polish and consistency with added focus on football.

Duce Robinson has wide receiver athleticism and movement skills in a tight end's body. His play style and physical traits remind us of Jimmy Graham. Both were also stars in other sports, with Graham going to play college basketball at Miami, while Robinson is a MLB Draft prospect. Robinson is a top football recruit, while Graham switched to the sport full-time in college.

Duce Robinson turns heads in the Polynesian Bowl

Charles Power

Top-ranked tight end Duce Robinson (No. 21 overall) got more looks in the Polynesian Bowl than he did in the Under Armour All-America Game earlier in the month. The uncommitted pass catcher made the most of his opportunities and looked like a considerable mismatch when split out wide. Robinson made a number of nice grabs over the course of the game, highlighted by the long deep ball from Iamaleava. Robinson showed the skill set of a big wide receiver, with the ability to run past cornerbacks at 6-foot-6, 225 pounds.

Duce Robinson earns 5th star from On3

Charles Power

Uncommitted tight end Duce Robinson adds a fifth star, moving up to No. 21 overall in On3's updated rankings. The Phoenix Pinnacle standout has long-been ranked as the cycle's top tight end prospect and continued to look the part as a senior. The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder had a big final prep campaign, catching 59 passes for 1,172 yards and 10 touchdowns. Robinson's movement skills both within the route and after the catch paired with his upside in contested catch situations make him the clear top tight end prospect in the cycle, in our opinion.
