As a College Recruit

Explosive two-way athlete with the athleticism to excel at either wide receiver or cornerback. Has one of the better speed profiles in the 2022 cycle with a sub 10.5 second 100 meter time and a 21.05 second best in the 200 meters. Not big at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, but has a 6-foot-4 wing-span. Seems most likely to start out at wide receiver in college. The track speed transfers over to the field where he is capable of taking a quick pass to the house. Also shows the ability to separate on vertical routes. Has agility, vision and some contact balance after the catch in addition to the long speed. Can track the ball, but still developing some of the technical aspects of his game at receiver. Will need to continue improving his routes and has not always been a reliable hands-catcher, though he’s shown some improvement in that regard over time.

Like Mecole Hardman, Isaiah Bond is a track star who was viewed as a two-way prospect at receiver and cornerback before settling in as a deep threat on offense.

Isaiah Bond a top performer at All-American Bowl

Charles Power

Isaiah Bond was a two-way player at Georgia powerhouse Buford High and has been ranked as an athlete for the majority of the cycle. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder has one of the best track profiles of the cycle as a state champion in the 100 (10.48) and 200 (21.05) meters. We saw that speed transfer over to the field, and then some. Bond was the toughest cover at the All-American Bowl. He regularly got deep on opposing corners, often roasting the competition. We were also pleasantly surprised with Bond’s route-running ability and technical ability at receiver. He can continue to hone his ball skills, but looks to be further along than expected. The Alabama signee looks like one of the top deep threats in the cycle.

Isaiah Bond shows explosive qualities in playoff win

Charles Power

Isaiah Bond (No. 208 in the On300) turned in a big game in a 27-0 playoff win over Lee County - a rematch of the 2020 state championship. Bond showed his explosive abilities as a receiver. Bond made an impressive diving grab on an out-and-up route, fully extending to come down with the football for a 41-yard gain. He also flashed the 10.48 second speed in the fourth quarter, taking a slant to the house from 68 yards out.
