In the national spotlight against LSU, Coleman had nine receptions for 122 yard and three touchdowns. During his time with the Spartans, Coleman had 65 receptions for 848 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named third-team All-Big Ten in 2022 after grabbing seven touchdowns. Coleman generated headlines during the 2022 season when he hauled in 155 yards on five catches against No. 4 Michigan. Coleman also played basketball at Michigan State as a true freshman during the 2021-22 season. He appeared in six games and played 10 total minutes for the Spartans, scoring five points. Coleman played high school football at Opelousas (Louisiana) Catholic High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was a two-time all-state pick, while also starring in basketball and track-and-field.
