ACC women's basketball power rankings
We’re seven weeks into the season and things are changing rapidly. Here are On3’s ACC women’s basketball power rankings.
1. Louisville
Louisville stays on top this week after a big neutral-court win over Tennessee.
2. North Carolina
It was a quiet week for North Carolina, so they’ll remain No. 2 in the league.
3. Notre Dame
Similarly for Notre Dame, not a ton of competitive action. They’ll stay in the same spot as last week.
4. Stanford
Stanford’s stock is rising and their rank reflects that this week. They earned a major victory over a ranked Washington team and then took down Oregon.
5. NC State
NC State moved down, but they’re still viewed as a solid team in my eyes after a good road win at Davidson.
6. Duke
Duke is slowly but surely making their way back up the ACC rankings. They’ve taken down Virginia Tech, South Dakota State and Belmont in the past two weeks — and by large margins.

7. Miami
Miami earned a road win over Wake Forest, but hasn’t done much to sway me either way this week.
8. Syracuse
Syracuse is still my wildcard. They lost handily to the one legit threat they played this year (Michigan) and are otherwise fairly untested. That’s why they’ll stay in the middle for now.
9. Clemson
It was also a fairly uneventful week for Clemson, so they’ll stay in the same spot as last week.
10. Virginia Tech
Virginia Tech earned an ACC win over Florida State and finished the week with a win over Radford.
11. Cal
Cal had a chance to beat USC but fell short. They did a solid job on the Trojans defensively, though.
12. Virginia
I anticipate that Virginia will move up this list during conference play, they just haven’t played the teams to earn it quite yet.
13. Wake Forest
Wake Forest fell to Miami by just three points this week. That’s pretty impressive.
14. Florida State
This hasn’t been a great year at all for Florida State and they just keep falling in the power rankings.
15. Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech fell to NC State this week on the road, as expected.
16. SMU
SMU is on a three-game win streak with victories over Sam Houston and Southern this week.
17. Pitt
Pitt suffered a lopsided loss to Duquesne on the road.
18. Boston College
Boston College lost to in-state Northeastern this week.
