During the 2024 Georgia high school football season, the Carrollton Trojans won their first 14 games. The matches were not even close, winning them all by double digits and by an average of 32.4 points per game. These results helped propel them as the third-best team in the Georgia On3 Composite Team Rankings.

However, just when they were on the verge of having an undefeated season, they lost when it mattered most. Carrollton fell short against Grayson, 38-24, in the Georgia high school football Class 6A state championship game. That defeat extends their state title drought to 26 years and worsens their consecutive state championships losses to four games.

This time, the Trojans hope they can add to their state championship collection. However, before reaching that goal, they must first conquer their 2025 opponents.

To condition themselves for the season, Carrollton will have a scrimmage game against the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets, Georgia’s No. 4 team, on August 8.

Then, Carrollton will start the season with two home games: August 15 against Woodward Academy and August 22 versus Columbia. After those matches, they will have their first road game of the 2025 Georgia high school football season against the Rome Wolves on August 29. The Trojans will be back home on September 5 against Lithia Springs before hitting the road again to face Gainesville, Georgia’s 17th-best team, on September 12.

For the second half of their regular season, Carrollton will welcome the Parker Thundering Herd, Alabama’s third-best team, on September 19. After this game, the Trojans will enjoy a bye week before visiting Westlake on October 3, the first of four consecutive regional games.

Finally, the Trojans will close out their Georgia high school football regular season against Chapel Hill (October 10), East Coweta (October 17), and Douglas County, Georgia’s seventh-best team (October 31).
