Colorado High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Dec. 2

The 2025 Colorado high school football season is drawing to a close as some of its best teams will be competing in their state championship games. Before champions are crowned, here’s how Massey ranked Colorado’s top squads.

The Massey Ratings system, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

1. Cherry Creek Bruins

The Bruins escaped with a 20-13 victory over Valor Christian. Jayden Fox rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns, while Brady Vodicka added another rushing TD. Cherry Creek will advance to the Colorado high school football Class 5A state championship game and put their perfect record on the line against Ralston Valley on December 5.

2. Ralston Valley Mustangs

The Mustangs went up the rankings after edging Mountain Vista 31-28. Zeke Andrews finished with 203 passing yards, 57 rushing yards, and a touchdown. Levi Rillos added 114 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Landon Plichta converted the game-winning field goal with under a minute left in regulation. Ralston Valley will face Cherry Creek in the Class 5A state title game on the 5th.

3. Valor Christian Eagles

The Eagles’ season ended at the hands of Cherry Creek. Channing Fox scored Valor Christian’s lone touchdown, while Titus Huard threw for 230 passing yards. This defeat ends the Eagles’ 2025 Colorado high school football season at 10-3, while losing to the Bruins snapped their six-game winning streak.

4. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

The Golden Eagles failed to advance to the Class 5A state championship game after coming up short against Ralston Valley. Despite the loss, some players like Marquise Reese (232 passing yards, two touchdowns), Hudson Modrzewski (79 rushing yards, two TDs), and Luke Bentley (79 receiving yards, one touchdown) deserve credit. Sadly, this season-ending loss ended Mountain Vista’s 12-game winning streak. It’s also the second consecutive year that the Golden Eagles lost only their final game.

5. Legend Titans

The Titans could still be competing for the Colorado high school football Class 5A state championship if not for their one-point loss to Valor Christian. Likewise, Legend could be undefeated if not for their one-point overtime setback against Arvada West. The Titans closed its season at 10-2, an identical record from their 2024 campaign.
