Jett Thomalla caps one of the best seasons ever for a QB in Nebraska high school football
Way before Millard South (Neb.) closed the book on their 2025 Nebraska high school football history with a dominant 49-0 victory in NSAA Class A state championship game against Papillion-La Vista South, there was probably little doubt about Jett Thomalla greatness.
The Alabama commitment finishes his Nebraska high school football career having completed 193 of 266 (73 percent) passes for 3,484 yards and 61 touchdowns for his senior campaign.
That left many wondering about where this left Thomalla and Millard South (12-1) on historic levels and the future Crimson Tide quarterback touched on that right after the game.
“I think I’m the best (quarterback) to ever come out of Nebraska,” Thomalla said to KETV after the NSAA Class A state championship game. “People have their opinions and stuff. Yeah, just (something) to look back on when I’m older, even now. You know, just something I’m gonna be really proud (of). Yeah, like I said, you know, I’d say (I’m) on (the list of) the best. So (now) I’m going to (a) really good program and you know (I’ve) had a really good career (with) really good players around me all the time. It’s been a great experience.”

If you would’ve been someone to ask Millard South head coach Taylor Mendenhall right after the game his thoughts, he was shying away from his own opinion on where this Patriots team stands in Nebraska high school football history.
“We wanted to go down as the best team in the state’s history. … I think coming out here and doing it in this fashion definitely put a stamp on it,” Mendenhall said to KETV after the game.
