Christian Academy of Louisville continues to dominate Kentucky high school football at the 3A level. The Centurions claimed their fourth state title in a row on Saturday, routing Murray 42-7.

At Kroger Field in Lexington, CAL left no doubt, completing its 15-0 season with an exclamation mark. Leading the way was sophomore quarterback Jackson Burke, who set an all-time mark at the high school level after his impressive performance.

The Centurions signal-caller went 14-14 in the win, throwing for 316 yards and five touchdowns. After not throwing an incompletion on Saturday, Burke finished the undefeated season having completed 214 of his 257 attempts, good for an 83.2 completion percentage.

According to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), Burke has broken the national single-season completion percentage record, which was set just last season by Greenwood (Ark.) QB Kane Archer (81.5 percent).

The previous record in the Bluegrass belonged to Trinity’s Nick Bohn, who completed 79.9 percent of his passes for the Shamrocks in 2017.

“There’s nobody in the country that has had the type of season, as far as completing the football goes, as Jackson Burke,” CAL head coach Hunter Cantwell said after Saturday’s state title victory.

According to KY High Football, Burke’s sophomore season finished with 3,518 yards and 53 touchdowns to just one interception. CAL utterly dominated its competition all season long, averaging 47 points per game while holding opponents to an average of just over 9 points.

Across the near-immaculate four-year run, CAL has lost just four times, three of which came last season. It’s just the seventh Kentucky high school football program ever to win four state titles in a row, per KY High Football.

The Centurions entered Saturday ranked as the No. 2 team in Kentucky, according to the Massey Ratings. Behind Burke and a stellar roster that will also return four-star defensive lineman Kellan Hall and four-star wide receiver Ja’Hyde Brown next fall, CAL will be the favorite to win a fifth consecutive state title in 2026.
