No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Md.) romps past The St. James Academy (Va.)

What was being billed as a battle between a couple of the DMV’s best high school football programs when No. 3 nationally ranked St. Frances Academy and The St. James Academy (Va.) met on Saturday night turned into how most Panthers play out: Blowouts.
Too fast, too strong and too skilled was St. Frances Academy for The St. James Academy as the Panthers easily rolled to a 35-0 win over the Strivers at Under Armour Stadium in Baltimore.
The Panthers now improve to 6-1 on the season as they head into their rivalry game against No. 2 ranked IMG Academy, which is playing Hun School in New Jersey currently.
St. Frances Academy (6-1) asserted their dominance early and often as they used the big play to their advantage as they raced out to a 28-0 lead and took that into halftime.

Defensively, where the Panthers calling card has come time and time again, was the obvious strength of the team against a Strivers’ offense that struggled to move the ball all night long. it was the first time all season that The St. James Academy has been shut out.
In front of a sold out crowd on hand for the game between DMV powers, St. Frances Academy got the edge against first-year The St. James Academy, which is led by head coach Darryl Overton.
