Yes, but he’s not going out quietly.

Not if you heard his presser and Tom Lang's comment on it - feels like he believes he is coming back

Strong hunch…if not, he’s whistling past the graveyard…the one he doesn’t have many tombstones in by the old practice fields. Where do they bury those stones they don’t break…or does the FOF have an extra closet for those?

No. I think he is going to double down and gift FSU another $5 million so the Boosters and TBE can focus on NIL instead of the Athletic Department. Unless Franklin takes a reduced salary and undercuts Mike. ;)

Jimbo said the day before he left for A&M he wasn’t going anywhere and the media was out of touch.

No way they can afford to keep him, he keeps taking the program to new lows

I do. His comments about the program being poised for good things makes me believe that.

Do we think anyone here knows whether he will be fired at the end if the season?

I always thought he would be back. He sure was selling wolf tickets at his presser today.

I think he believes if the team gets to a bowl at 6-6 or 7-5, then the administration will give him another year.

I think he got triggered today at the presser, maybe this is a hidden message to the team and recruits (in case they are also hearing to it). Either that or he is hearing that the situation is not a matter of if, but when they decide to make the move. I think he's starting to realize it and is trying everything to keep himself here.

Does anyone know if he’s actually coming back? It’s quite possible he is. It sounded like it in the presser.

Yes, his response to the trajectory question sound like he’s defending keep his job while also talking about what he could bring to another Power 4 team. I think Memphis would take him back if Ryan takes the Arkansas job.

Guys, you know Mike is well aware of these boards and what is being said. The coaches and back office monitor this site and others. They have to in case someone in the organization goes rogue and posts on here. If anyone remembers the old site and when Jimbo was leaving we had some very interesting new posters join the site. Bottom line: Mike knows. He is a professional and will champion the cause until he is fired. I am certain he will act exactly like Brian Kelly when we fire him. LSU offered Kelly 26mil and then 30 Mil. Kelly said “I want it in writing today, November 10 by 6:00pm that you will be paying me the full $54 million dollars according to the contract.”

Not sure. Just spent a tremendous amount on new staff. They arrived in January so that could be an issue. As we are well aware this is a rebuild that is why they were brought in. There maybe time needed with new staff to acquire talent that Fits the scheme. Don’t know whether they want can this and start over. That’s administration and BOT call.

A) I wouldn't put keeping him past our administration B) I'm sure Sexton has sat down with Mike to let him know the playbook on what to do and say in order to make sure you can claim the entire buyout. If/when it becomes a legal matter, you're not just screwing with Memphis Mike's money, you're screwing with Sexton's, and he's not one to give an inch. IMO we're already in the pre-divorce phase of evidence gathering, contractual and legal posturing. After Stanford the remaining games have been play-acting to make sure he can collect every dollar.
