It's almost like he was a homeschooled version of a lab experiment with 1950's programming. He speaks like a coach born in 1918. Like if John Wooden, Lee Iacoca, Omar Bradley and Andrew Luck spawned and co-fathered an athletic nerd prodigy.
People have made fun of him for how he speaks, but he has such a supreme belief in the system and himself, there is zero doubt his teammates would try to run through a field of razor wire for him. The world needs more like him.
I love Gunner for similar reasons, though not as boisterous. Gunner is an example. The quiet witness type. But if we didn't have Gunner, Mendoza is the guy I'd want by 50 furlongs.

Im just excited that my +2200 preseason bet of Mendoza as the top NFL draft pick is looking like a solid play to make me a thousandaire.
Would not have made that bet if I didnt know Kirby wanted him.
