Lane Kiffin's Decision Day: Will it be LSU or Ole Miss?

It's just short of 1 a.m. CT here in Baton Rouge, meaning we've hit "Decision Day" for Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. Florida is out. Now, we wait to see if he is staying put in Oxford or is named the next LSU Football head coach. As the dust settled from the end of the Ole Miss season and a month-plus long LSU coaching search when Kiffin's name was always on the forefront, here are some of my final thoughts before the sun rises and everyone gathers around to see what decision Kiffin arrived at. My prediction has been on LSU for a while, and I have not heard anything Friday to change that for me. So, here are some of the main things I'm thinking about with Kiffin, LSU and Ole Miss as I feel the Tigers are inching close to an announcement that brings the news of the LSU search committee landing the No. 1 target from the start. And I now just left my fiancée and two dogs in the master bedroom to come back to my man cave and play Xbox for the next five hours in anticipation of 6am. We ride.

I thought if he was staying at Ole Miss he’d announce after the game today, would’ve been a huge momentum boost after a big W and heading to playoffs. if he was staying, why wait 24 hrs to announce? You’re telling me he hadn’t thought about it all week but a few more hours would change things? Once he didn’t say he’s staying post game I think it was all over but making it official.
