With the Maple Leafs getting the top pick, this will be huge for our brand. They're definitely the biggest brand in the league, with a ton of exposure. Gotta love it. So happy for McKenna and for Guy.

I don't follow ice hockey very closely so hopefully someone can help me out. The Maple Leafs are one of the Original Six. Long history in Toronto, the most populous city in Canada. The last I knew, they were the most valuable franchise in the NHL. They have the history, fanbase, and money almost every other team can only dream about. So why is it they haven't won a Stanley Cup in the past 59 years??

This is surely a good day for the brand of Penn State hockey.
It is a terrible day for those of us who are Penn State fans that also root for the Vancouver Canucks (it's probably just me, right?). Just brutal.

Is McKenna the clear cut top pick in the NHL draft? Honestly, I thought McKenna was a disappointment at psu given the context of “college” sports these days.

I should've known that it was going to fall apart when Allvin and Rutherford decided to trade JT Miller with the primary piece in the return being Filip Chytil and his career of concussions. Two goalies in their 30s making $13M combined with no-movement clauses. Trading for Evander Kane. Sheesh. At least it fell apart spectacularly when it fell apart.Don't know if this will help or hurt your mood, but:

Rutherford left a mess behind in Pittsburgh when he quit. He knew it was about to get ugly.
I appreciate what he did for the Pens, but he was handed future HOFers on a platter and and an open checkbook.
