Maybe EC’s brother mistook “don’t effing do that” for “don’t farting do that” lol seems like fake news. That account on X is known for it.

I'm not saying Hubert didn't occasionally say damn or something, there's no way he did that. I don't believe that for a second. I really have no idea why this family keeps on about Hubert, he transferred got what he wanted and won a national championship. Let It Go dude

Fun (or not-so-fun) fact side note: Mother Teresa was not a very good person.

I mean the way he shot when he was here I can’t say I blame Hubert for saying that.

I think it’s because his stats really weren’t that much better and he has no chance of making the league. So the brother is getting that clicks, follows, and engagement money while he’s still “relevant” .

I've seen people questioning posts about the toxicity of this family. There you have it. You know better. I am happy for EC I want to make that clear.

wtf is wrong with that family? This is likely the peak of Elliot’s bball career, and the low point of Hubert’s. Just let success do the talking

It’s a shame for someone to be so eaten up with bitterness that they cannot enjoy the present.

Hubert: "Matt, now that I'm the head coach, any pointers from someone who's been here before me?" Matt: "Yeah, here's one that I used a lot. When a player does something you don't like...."

Since Carolina and HD held him back let’s see where Themis former five star goes after his third year in college to the NBA. Surely he’s a first rounder right? He just won mop. Elliot is a punk. In fact, I’ll go one further. He plays like a Dookie. He’s borderline dirty. He grabs and falls down acting like he was the victim and he was really the instigator. He’s a fake tough guy. His court vision? Phenomenal. His basketball iq? Mediocre at best. I saw way too many mustard in the hot dog plays even in the title game that were really poor decisions. It was not just HD. Nate oats practically begged him to shoot. Why? Cause he sucked at it. Guess what? Dean nor Roy would have given him the green light either. I hate I had to pull for him over Hurley because I like Dusty May but EC is a capital B.

I would say this is type of player baggage that makes folks seek a divorce from a player. Between the mom and the brother, what coach would want to have this type of commentary going on when they are trying to build a team and team chemistry ? I can understand why the effort wasn’t bigger to keep him at UNC by former Coach Davis. Once it starts, there is no putting that jeanie back in the bottle.

I think I saw a video of this dude holding the championship trophy by himself posing for pictures. I have played and coached sports my entire life and have never seen a family member do that.

You just won a national championship and the MOP trophy, and the first thing your brother does is go on the internet to trash the coach who gave you your start and got fired two weeks ago. That's like winning the lottery and then driving back to your old job to key your former manager's car in the parking lot. What exactly is the goal here? Hubert gave Elliot 74 starts over two years, put him in the lineup as a true freshman on a team that earned a 1 seed, and invested significant NIL dollars to keep him in the program. Elliot left because he wanted a different role and a different system, and he got exactly that at Michigan. Good for him. That's how the portal is supposed to work. But this need to retroactively tear down the guy who recruited you, believed in you, and gave you a platform is bizarre. And even if Hubert did get on him in practice about shooting threes, maybe he was right? Elliot shot 28% from three his freshman year and 33% as a sophomore. If my point guard is bricking one out of every three attempts from deep, I might have some pointed words about shot selection too. Roy Williams told guys not to shoot threes all the time and nobody called it abuse, they called it coaching. The Cadeau family got everything they wanted out of the portal. Enjoy the moment, put the trophy on the mantle, and stop taking victory laps over a man who just lost his job.
