Fitz, this is always AWESOME! Thank so much to you, Nate and Co, for doing your very best to keep us all somewhat sane...

I'm choosing to cling to this as the key line in the whole thing:
"There seems to be some momentum here."

Brent Key
“…But it’s not necessarily about one week or one season when talking about the chances of Penn State making a run at Key. He still seems like a fit and guy who makes sense just outside of the big swing category. There have been discussions with both sides expressing interest.”

Though Elko’s salary is 7m, he has the most incentivized contract in the country and will make a ton of money this year if the winning keeps up fwiw.

The contract terms are what are going to be interesting to me.
Elko at $14M per for 8-10 years gauranteed is significantly different (and bonkers) than Key at $9M per for the same terms.
(And Chesney is a good intro name to have on here for when we do this all over again in 2029.)

@Sean Fitz do you have any thoughts on where PSU is at with the 2nd tier guys as far as want and leverage. Could PSU full court press these guys on Dec 1st and get a yes from either ?
Totally get they are waiting on Debor and Elko, just didn’t know if they “had” to move fast to get a second rung guy how doable would that be.
Like Brent Key a lot.

IMO, based on this update I would put the top 3 realistic targets as Elko, Drink and Key.

I feel like I could get behind any of those names in the first three tiers, but they're definitely ranked accordingly.

But naysayers have already stated as fact that we are in a total rebuild and no-one from the top tier will even look at us twice. Feels weird that you - with insight - might know more than nameless doom and gloomers on the internet... *shrug*

Anon1737660822 said:Huh, what? Golesh is listed last in Sean's update. Elko is the #1 and Sean literally implied there is real smoke given that Elko refuses to sign an extension at A&M. Obviously everything is fluid, but at this point of time Elko, Drink and Key seem to be the top realistic targets. We need to whiff on all three to even seriously consider Golesh.Think I’d say Drink, Key, and Golesh
