Per an industry source, North Carolina has been in contact with Arkansas transfer Karter Knox.
Karter Knox - Arkansas Razorbacks Guard - ESPN
Under Roy Williams Knox's older brother, Kevin Knox Jr., had a scholarship offer and took an official visit to UNC.
@SeanMoran's profile of Knox:
6-6 wing, with 6-10.5 wingspan. Averaged 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds in a sophomore season cut short with a left meniscus tear in mid-February. Solid 3-point shooter, 38% on the season in a small sample size (26-69). Provides a catch and shoot threat in the half-court, doesn’t offer much creativity off the dribble, but very effective moving without the ball. Likes to get out on the wings in transition. Defensively, comfortable guarding on the perimeter and up to a 4. Former 4-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American.

I like it. Take a flier on a talented guy who has been a little underwhelming so far. Should be in a pretty decent position here with Chuck Martin on staff

Hopefully, his skill set can translate to our new NBA system that will be installed.

3 and D athlete on the wing. Also, maybe the primary reason UNC was so bad at rebounding last year was that the guards were awful at it. Knox had a good rebound rate, and I think that’s why they’re interested.

We have a whole roster to build essentially. This would be a great start.

I’d like to have both as 3 and D wings, but with the Martin connection here we may lean to go for Knox first.
