Duke to lose games, especially Wake.
UVA to lose games, especially Wake.
Pitt to lose games, except against Tech.
Tech to lose games.
Louisville to win games except against us.

Essentially root for anyone with 1 loss or better in the ACC to lose.
Except Louisville. Them having a better record would be good for us. And we play them so a W there would take care of them.

My guess is one of GT or Virginia has to lose plus we win out, and we have a pretty good shot of making it. I think the rest will probably take care of itself.
Gotta win those games first though...as we already know...you can win or lose any game no matter who it is.

Need at least one loss from GT or Virginia. This win does a lot for us if we can get to a strength of schedule tiebreaker. Miami needs to get mad & crush everyone the rest of the way out.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but had SMU, UVA, and Georgia Tech all ended up at 8-0 in ACC, would we have made it to the CCG? I know we just need to win out, but I’m just curious. Thanks!

If UVA loses to Duke, I think we will be fine though clemson losing to Duke was a problem. Sadly though if we go 9-3, I can see us missing the ACCG and the CFP. Losing to Wake and Baylor killed our candidacy. It would be great if Miami rebounds and wins out and same for Louisville except against us to really help our resume and then needing the 7-12 teams to lose week in and week out.
To talk about how damaging the wake loss was, we most likely won't be ranked. We will get some votes. I can see Miami falling all the way to 23-25.
I think we honestly need GA Tech to trip up somewhere as well as both of them have very soft schedules. Unless any crazy surprises, I see Ga Tech and UVA going to ACCCG and going to CFP and Miami, Lousiville and SMU fighting for the 3rd spot.

Still a lot to be decided but here are the remaining games for those still in it and the tie breaker scenarios.
Remaining games:
Georgia Tech: at NC State, at Boston College, Pitt, Georgia
Virginia: at Cal, Wake Forest, at Duke, Virginia Tech
Pitt: at Stanford, Notre Dame, at Georgia Tech, Miami
SMU: at Boston College, Louisville, at Cal
Louisville: Clemson, at SMU, Kentucky
Duke: Virginia, at North Carolina, Wake Forest
Tie Breaker Scenarios
[HEADING=1]According to the ACC's policy, if three or more teams are tied with the highest percentage of wins or two or more teams are tied with the second highest percentage of wins in league play, the following tiebreaker procedure goes into effect:[/HEADING]
A. For a two-team tie, head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
B. Win-percentage against all common opponents.
C. Win-percentage against common opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference win percentage with ties broken) and proceeding through other common opponents based upon their order of finish.
D. Combined win-percentage of conference opponents.
E. The tied team with the highest ranking by the Team Rating Score metric provided by SportSource Analytics following the conclusion of regular-season games.
F. The participant shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the commissioner or commissioner's designee.
If three or more teams are tied atop the league standings, the following procedure will be used:
A. Combined head-to-head win-percentage among the tied teams if all tied teams are common opponents.
B. If all tied teams are not common opponents, the tied team that defeated each of the other tied teams.
C. Win percentage against all common opponents.
D. Win percentage against common opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference win percentage, with ties broken) and proceeding through other common opponents based upon their order of finish.
E. Combined win-percentage of conference opponents.
F. The tied team with the highest-ranking by the Team Rating Score metric provided by SportSource Analytics following the conclusion of regular season games.
G. The participant shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or Commissioner's designee.

NCST up on GT!

Most straightforward path is we win out, Louisville wins the rest of their games (other than against us of course). Virginia and/or Georgia Tech lose one, and it puts us in a decent tie breaker spot.

Good first half but they need to finish...
Would love to see Ole miss lose and same for Michigan for some chaos, go ahead and throw USC in there to give us a chance at a top 25

CNash said:Neat tool, if it’s accurate it basically says we have 1 path to Charlotte - We lose every 1-loss tiebreaker with GT - We win a 1-loss tiebreaker with UVA only if their loss is to Wake So Virginia has to lose to Wake, which is actually a very real possibility. I’m still betting they lose 2 conference games & it doesn’t even go to a tiebreaker.

This NC State game tonight is pretty big. GT has BC and Pitt left after this (UGA in OOC). And I don’t want to have to be rooting for BC…
