He is an SC homer but I find him fair and knowledgeable about sports. sticks up for today's players when all these other sports reporters knock today's NBA ,NFL, major league baseball etc. He gives well thought out opinions based on facts and lets others express their thoughts and opinions if different from his. Also,Wilt won 2 NBA championships playing in the decade + where Boston was a dynasty winning 8 straight titles in the 60’s with hall of fame players ,Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Sam Jones, John Havlichek KCJones, Tommy Heinsohn , Bill Sharmin etc. If Wilt would have played in any other decade he wins 5 or 6 championships

Do you really not know who Shaq is? Saying "Who" to people you obviously know seems counteractive to your entire point?

Whatever gets clicks is what Cowherd cares about. He knows that bashing ND every couple weeks is an easy clickbait method. Cowherd will also defend ND at times but again when it guarantees clicks. If the majority of pundits are saying something against ND, he will magically support ND because he is smart when it comes to how to generate buzz. It's all a show.

I guess I'd say yes to the question, but more than anything else he's a provocateur. He will say things with the sole purpose of upsetting a group and getting a rise out of them.

This - his takes are strategic - he used to rag on BK and the program at our low point in 2016. Then he came around a little bit on Freeman but his schtick is always going to include being a USC homer.

You're mistaking analysts and journalists. Shaq and Barkley are not journalists. They aren't reporters, nor do they write columns. They're asked to analyze the game and give their opinion.
