For the fourth straight season, the Big East and Big 12 will compete against each other in a midseason challenge. With the idea of getting their teams potential quality NCAA Tournament resume-boosting opponents, the two conferences have set up this year’s challenge according to a report.

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, matchups for the 2022 Big East-Big 12 Battle have been finalized. Dates have the game have been reported as well, starting in the final days of November and spilling into the month of December.

Two of the coaching names out of the 2022 NCAA Tournament will face off against each other when Seton Hall travels to Kansas. Bill Self will be coming off his second national championship with the program and cementing himself as one of the Jayhawks’ best ever coaches. He will play the sweetheart of last year’s tournament, Shaheen Holloway, who made a deep run with Saint Peter’s.

The two programs have played on three other occasions, all on a neutral court. Seton Hall will make the trip to Allen Fieldhouse for the first time in early December.

Another game that sticks out is Creighton visiting Chris Beard and Texas in Austin. The Bluejays are projected to be near the top of every preseason poll while the Longhorns return some of their top players from last season. Arguably the headliner of the entire 2022 Big 12-Big East Battle, all eyes will be on this heavyweight matchup.
