Rowan Brumbaugh, one of the fastest rising prospects in 2022 class, already has a few visits under his belt, while also scoring some big time offers. The 6-4 point guard has visited Wisconsin, Northwestern, Georgetown, and Maryland so far.

Wisconsin Official Visit

Brumbaugh’s first official visit was out to Madison, Wisconsin to see the Badgers.

“Wisconsin was awesome,” he said. “Madison is a great place. I love their coaching staff. They’ve been on me for awhile. Great people over there. That was an awesome visit.”

Wisconsin finished decent last season in the stacked Big Ten, going 10-10 in conference play.

Northwestern Official Visit

Next, Rowan traveled to Illinois to see the Northwestern Wildcats.

“It was really cool,” he said. “Of course, Northwestern is a great academic school. I love their staff. Evanston is a great place. I have some family up there, so it’s a great spot.”

Northwestern struggled last season, finished third to last in the Big 10 conference.

Georgetown Official Visit

The Hoyas are the closest school to Rowan, proximity wise. In fact, the campus is only a three minute walk from his home.

“I didn’t have to stay in a hotel because I live so close. I love their staff, great academic school. It’s right down the street from me. I love what they do there too.”

Although Rowan practically lives on the campus of Georgetown University, he doesn’t feel any pressure to “stay home” (quite literally) and be a Hoya. “No there’s no pressure at all,” he said. “My recruitment is a 100% open and I’m willing to go anywhere for the best opportunity for my game.”

Maryland Official Visit

Lastly, Rowan made his way to College Park to see the Maryland Terrapins.

“The Maryland visit was awesome,” he said. “I like Coach Turgeon a lot. They do good with their guards. I like Maryland a lot too.”

As Rowan’s stock continues to rise, the offers keep rolling in. Texas and Kansas have both offered within the last 48 hours. Duke is the most recent school to inquire about his services, but an offer hasn’t been presented quite yet. While Brumbaugh doesn’t have a timetable for his recruiting process, he does want to “get this done sooner rather than later…I just want to make sure I don’t miss out on an opportunity. I’ll just do it when my gut tells me it’s the right decision. But I just wanna make sure through it all, I’m staying in the gym and not getting distracted by these schools. That’s what’s important at the end of the day…getting better.”

Well said Rowan, well said.
