Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton offensive tackle Tyler Knaak has released his top five schools. They are Arizona State, Oregon State, USC, Utah and Virginia.

He has been on official visits to Arizona State and Virginia and visited USC on an unofficial visit.

Knaak has been a late riser in the 2022 cycle. He did not have a Division I offer until September but has received a fair amount from schools since then.

“It’s unreal,” Knaak told Inside Texas’ Justin Wells. “About a month and a half ago, I was looking at scholarships to apply for and colleges to apply at. Now I get to sit here and pick a school rather than fight to get into one. It’s a crazy experience and I’m loving every minute of it.”

He also told Wells that he plans on signing during the early signing period.

Tyler Knaak played on one of Utah’s best teams

The Utah high school football season is finishing this weekend with the state championship games but Tyler Knaak’s season has already be completed for a few weeks.

The team finished with an 8-3 record before losing to Orem (Utah) in the state playoffs.

One of his teammates from school is four-star linebacker Lander Barton. The 6-foot-4 linebacker is the No. 192 overall player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Last week, Barton committed to Utah, where his brothers and sister all went to school. His brothers were on the football team and both currently play in the NFL while his sister is an All-American volleyball player.

He is also teammates with offensive lineman Jacob Reece, who is committed to Utah State. Reece was the starting left tackle for the team while Knaak starts at right tackle.
