Jordan Shaw was by far the most impressive defensive player on the field giving up zero completions. Bai Jobe made his presence felt generating a sack and a tackle-for-loss during the team period. He beat offensive tackle Caden Jones on two reps and then put Luke Montgomery, the Ohio State signee, on his back with a bull rush. He showed the full skill set there with the burst at the line, the speed and the power with just running through Montgomery. It was really impressive.

A couple other standouts: Monroe Freeling looked good in his later reps once he settled in. He looked like the top offensive tackle at this practice. Georgia DL signee Jordan Hall showed off his first step and had several wins. Georgia IOL signee Kelton Smith was probably the best interior guy in that session. Won the majority of his reps as well. Tennessee DL signee Daevin Hobbs moved all over the defensive line and showed off his burst, winning a couple reps. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

11:17 a.m. CT — East: Couple of standouts from the interior drills; defensive line gave the offensive line a lot of trouble. Auburn DL signee Darron Reed made multiple plays behind the line of scrimmage, as did Tennessee signee Daevin Hobbs. Both using first-step quickness to disrupt and dart into the backfield. On the offensive line, Jven Williams probably looked the best. He pulled on one play and set up what would’ve been a long run. Did a good job of getting into space and getting a body on the defense at the second level. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

LSU WR signee Jalen Brown is looking smooth, catching the football well, high-pointing the football easily, getting in and out of his breaks and downfield. He’s been fun to watch so far. UCLA QB signee Dante Moore has been the best quarterback so far early on at East practice on time accurate, moving well on early routes Justice Haynes has been the most impressive running back in my opinion catching the football. Twitchy and built like an SEC running back.

UGA tight end signee Pearce Spurlin also shining once he got warmed up and has made some really impressive catches, including a one-hander running a vertical route down the seam. Seems to be next in line at Tight End U in Athens. — Sam Speigelman, National Recruiting Analyst

10:41 a.m. CT — West: Best looking off the bus for West team: Jelani McDonald, Keldric Faulk, Bai Jobe, Anthony Hill, Samuel Omosigho, Ka’Morreun Pimpton, Malachi Coleman, Kadyn Proctor, Sullivan Absher, Princewill Umanmielen. — Cody Bellaire, On3 Rankings Assistant

10:25 a.m. CT — East: Watching the defensive line group go through individual drills, and it’s really a good-looking group. Alabama signee Keon Keeley is a top-five prospect; he’s very well-developed. Georgia defensive line signee Jordan Hall has a really big lower body but is an explosive mover. Tennessee DL signee Daevin Hobbs is explosive, and Florida signee Kamran James is probably the tallest of this group. And Auburn signee Darron Reed is looking really good, too. I’m looking forward to seeing them face the offensive line. I think that will be the main event on the East team. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:13 a.m. CT — East: Alabama running back signee Justice Haynes also sticks out from a physical perspective. He’s compact, very developed, and has a lot of muscle mass. Just looks like you’d expect from a running back who could make an impact early in his college career. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:09 a.m. CT — East: Notre Dame defensive line signee Brenan Vernon looks much leaner than anticipated. I believe he was around 300 pounds in the offseason; he looks much more trimmed down than that right now. And he has more of the size of a defensive end. Can definitely put some more weight back on, but leaner than expected coming out of the season. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:07 a.m. CT — West: Louisville QB signee Pierce Clarkson currently working at quarterback and connects with Nebraska signee Malachi Coleman down the sideline on air. The players didn’t stretch — got right into install. — Mike Singer, BlueandGold.com recruiting analyst

10:04 a.m. CT — East: It’s interesting to see how some of these players warm up and how serious some of them are. You can kind of tell who is pretty locked in. A couple of guys who stick out in warmups: Alabama signee Caleb Downs, UCLA signee Dante Moore, Georgia signee Monroe Freeling, Miami signee Samson Okunlola, and Ohio State receiver signee Brandon Inniss. Not shocking if you know something about those prospects and how they approach things. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
