The 2023 SEC Baseball Tournament field has been set ahead of the conference’s return to the Hoover Metropolitan Complex in Alabama.

Beginning on Tuesday, May 23, the SEC’s top 12 teams will compete in a single-elimination style tournament for seeds 5-through-12. Wednesday-Friday will see the tournament transition to a double-elimination format before returning to single-elimination on Saturday and Sunday for the semifinal and championship games.

Florida, Arkansas, LSU and Vanderbilt earned the top four seeds in the tournament and will advance to Wednesday’s games automatically. Lower seeds will have to defeat them twice if they want to advance to the semifinals.

The SEC finished the regular season with seven teams ranked in the D1Baseball top 25 and are expected to send nine teams to the NCAA Tournament, according to their latest Field of 64 Projections. A large majority of those nine teams are in the conversation to host a regional on their home field.
