Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei quarterback Elijah Brown has had a good spring. Over two dozen schools attended the spring showcase earlier this month, he is one of the top signal callers in the country, and his offer list continues to grow.

During the spring evaluation period, the No. 68 prospect in the On3 Consensus has landed over half a dozen offers. Outside of the offers from Oregon and Washington, the offers are from schools that play in the SEC.

Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee are three that pulled the trigger on the 6-foot-2, 180-pound rising junior and each school is now on his radar.

“The SEC is a great league,” Brown told On3. “It means a lot to get offers from schools in that league. They are across the country, so for them to recognize my talent, it means a lot. All these offers are blessings and I couldn’t ask for more.”

The Alabama offer may mean just a little more to Brown. Bryce Young played at Mater Dei, the two know each other, and it is a school he hopes to visit soon.

“Bryce is a big influence on me. He comes by the school, we have had some good talks, and he has really helped me. Seeing him at Alabama is great. He is a great player, a great person, and Alabama is a great program.

“I have not visited Alabama before, but I would like to this summer. Alabama is a school that wins a lot, they always have great players, and it is a school I am interested in.”

Georgia and Tennessee are schools the No. 9 quarterback in the country now has his eye on as well.

“Georgia is a school I want to study on more with them offering me. They just won the national championship and they have top players, so I want to learn more.

“Tennessee has Nico Iamaleava committed and he picked them for a reason, so I am going to see what they are about. It is a good school and somewhere I could visit.”

Brown also has offers from schools like LSU, Ole Miss, UCLA, USC, and Washington. He is going to take his time with the process. “

“I want to take visits and enjoy things,” Brown said. “I am not looking to do anything any time soon. It will come down to the right fit for me. I a serious about academics, so that will factor in with the fit at quarterback and offensive scheme.

“I am just going to let things play out for me.”
