2024 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis is coming off unofficial visits to Georgia and Michigan last weekend. According to Steve Wiltfong, the Davis family wants to go back to Ann Arbor and watch the Wolverines play in the Big House.
But Wiltfong added that Michigan isn’t the only school getting Davis on campus in the fall. He expects Davis, the No. 13 overall prospect and No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 On3 Consensus, to take some visits for games.
Davis has been on multiple unofficial visits to each of the schools mentioned above. Getting Davis on campus could be crucial for multiple program seeking a signal-caller to anchor their 2024 recruiting class.
Wiltfong also gave a glimpse into Davis’ decision-making timeline. He said that Davis is going to take fall visits, then official visits in the spring before revealing his commitment.
Jadyn Davis Recruiting Profile
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Wolverines are favored to land Davis’ commitment at 79.4%. The Bulldogs have the next-best odds at 11.2%. Clemson has the third-highest chance at 1.5%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Davis has an On3 NIL Valuation of $151K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power also recognized Davis’ performance at the Overtime OT7 event. “2024 quarterback Jadyn Davis gets the nod at No. 10 after making some impressive throws over the course of his first day of action,” Power wrote.
“Davis has a thick, powerful base that he uses to generate velocity. While Davis may not have had the throw-to-throw consistency of Iamaleava, Nelson or Moore, his arm did not look out of place playing alongside the highly-touted 2023 prospects. As noted above, we saw Davis connect with top 50 wide receiver Noah Rogers on several deep touchdowns throughout the day. Davis saw his play dip a bit after the first day, missing a few throws high. He can continue to improve his accuracy on a throw-to-throw basis.”
