Life Christian Academy three-star defensive lineman D’Andre Martin has decommitted from Virginia Tech, announcing his decision Sunday on Twitter.

He is the first player to decommitment from the Hokies since Brent Pry was hired as the program’s new head coach.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Martin as the No. 1094 overall recruit in the nation.

Martin visited South Carolina two weeks ago for the Gamecocks game against Auburn.

The Hokies have the No. 32 overall class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.

The group now has 24 total commits, including four On3 Consensus four-star prospects: Daleville (Va.) Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA) offensive tackle Gunner Givens, Midlothian (Va.) Manchester athlete Ramon Brown Pilot Mountain (N.C.) East Surrytight end Benji Gosnell and Sachse (Texas) athlete Alex Orji

Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove three-star defensive lineman Malachi Madison is the only defensive lineman recruit remaining in the class.
