It is hard not to notice the production 2024 Aiden Sherrell puts out each time he steps on the floor. The 6-foot-9 forward has a long and active frame that seems to often be around the ball, making something happen.

“I’m a versatile player,” Sherrell told On3. “At my size, I can do anything, and there aren’t many guys like that. I can play defense, handle, shoot, and attack at the rim. Playing in the NIBC really motivated me and gave me the confidence I am one of the best. I watch a lot of Kevin Durant; I mean, he is unstoppable, a seven-foot guard.”

The 2024 On3 Consensus No. 40 player played last year with Mount Pleasant (UT) Wasatch Academy in the NIBC and is playing this summer with The Syndicate on Nike’s 16u EYBL Circuit. On3 recently caught up with Aiden Sherrell to talk about which schools were standing out to him at this early point in his recruitment.

“We hear from Auburn the most,” Sherrell said. “We’ve heard a lot from Oregon and UConn; they haven’t offered yet. I went on an unofficial visit to Georgia, and they offered.”

Sherrell talks recruitment

Auburn: “I know they have a great program and develop guys. Look at Jabari Smith; guys like me go on to the league.”

Georgia: “I went to a football game there. The atmosphere and the fans, they’re crazy. There were tons of fans. They played Kentucky, so it was a big game. It was packed.”

Sherrell’s take

“My brother plays at Indiana University East, and my older brother played at Kentucky State,” Sherrell said. “We got a basketball family.

“I am going to look for a school that will push me. Push me to get ready and prepare for the next level. I want to go somewhere who knows how to use forwards like me and fits my playstyle.”

On3’s take

Aiden Sherrell has a great frame; he has long arms and a very projectable build. What stuck out first was his rebounding. He has a good motor around the basket and did a good job cleaning up on the boards. Offensively, Sherrell is still a bit raw, but he has all the tools. He can put it on the floor some, he has touch, and he has good hands. Now, Sherrell just needs to tighten up the overall package. While it may not be there in its entirety just yet, the production is happening, and he seems to get better each time he steps on the floor.
