4-star ATH Rodrick Pleasant down to 6 schools
Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star athlete Rodrick Pleasant has confirmed his top six schools: Boston College, California, Penn State, Oregon, UCLA and USC.
On3’s Chad Simmons talked with Pleasant earlier this week about his recruitment and about where he might be taking his final official visits.
“It’s been a really long process, but we’re still in the process of figuring them out,” Pleasant said.
He has already taken an official visit to Boston College.
Pleasant is the No. 111 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He jumped up recruiting boards in the spring due to his blazing speed, which he displayed throughout the track season.
“Rodrick Pleasant cemented his status as the fastest prospect in the 2023 cycle a few weeks back,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said. “The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder won the California state meet in the 100 meters with a blistering 10.14 second wind-legal mark. The time also broke the overall state record. The Gardena (Calif.) Juniperro Serra speedster also won the 200 meters crown, with a 20.56 second time.”
On3 RPM has one team as a heavy favorite for Rodrick Pleasant

The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
