Class of 2023 four-star center Assane Diop tells On3 he’s down to eight schools: Auburn, Arkansas, BYU, Seton Hall, Kansas State, Arizona State, Ohio State, and Colorado.

The 6-foot-10, 190-pound prospect out of Denver (Colo.) Accelerated Schools also received offers from Baylor, Maryland, Mississippi State, Illinois, Memphis, USC, Kansas, and others.

As of this writing, Diop has taken unofficial visits to Arkansas, Seton Hall, and Colorado. He’s been to Auburn officially. Diop says he also plans to visit Ohio State, Colorado, and Kansas State.

Diop is the No. 91 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also ranked as the No. 10 center in the class and the No. 3 prospect in the state of Colorado.

It should also be noted that Diop’s cousin is 2023 five-star center Baye Fall. The two have mentioned they’d like to play with each other at the next level, if possible.
