Nebraska has lost its first commit following the firing of Scott Frost.
“First off I would like to thank the whole (Nebraska) staff for giving me this opportunity and I would like to thank the (Nebraska) fans for showing me nothing but love,” Lenhardt tweeted in a statement. “I want to thank Coach Dawson and Coach Chin especially for giving me this opportunity. I have to protect myself as an athlete so please respect my decision. This was not an easy decision but this is a decision that will affect my life’s path.”
Lenhardt was the second-highest ranked recruit in the 2023 Cornhuskers class. The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Lenhardt as the No. 304 recruit in the country.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $27k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
The only Nebraska verbal ranked ahead of Lenhardt in the 2023 On3 Consensus is Vivian (La.) North Caddo four-star wide receiver Omarion Miller. The recruiting class now ranks 35th in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
