Less than a week after being visited by Alabama, 2022 four-star Clinton (Miss.) forward Kimani Hamilton named the Crimson Tide among his top three schools. Along with Alabama, Mississippi State and Ole Miss made the cut, while Creighton, which visited him Sept. 9, did not.

The 6-foot-8 Hamilton also told On3 Social Media National Recruiting Expert Joe Tipton that he’ll take an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa this coming weekend. He also has an official trip there scheduled for October 23.

As a junior last season, he led Clinton to the Mississippi 6A boys basketball championship as he averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks. After missing the 2020 EYBL circuit, he suited up for Team Thad and averaged 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Alabama doesn’t have any players committed for the 2022 class, but The Tide just hosted 2022 On100 forward Brandon Miller on a visit this past weekend. Miller is rated as the No. 17 overall player and No. 4 small forward in the class.

Their other top targets include:

• PG Jaden Bradley (No. 20 overall)
• CG Nick Smith (No. 31)
• PF Jarace Walker (No. 32)
• PF Noah Clowney (No. 91)
• SG Rylan Griffen (No. 97)
